Ole Miss alumni Savannah Sanders started her custom hand-painted bottle business, Savsandpaints, during quarantine in 2020. A year later, her bottles have become a popular celebratory item as she’s closing in on her 100th bottle.
After graduating from Ole Miss in the spring of 2020, Sanders planned to take a gap year before going to graduate school, and had a job lined up at a local retail store on the Square. Ole Miss held a campus climate survey from Oct.15 to Nov. 19 to get feedback from faculty and students about the social environment on campus.
“When you go to the doctor they take your temperature, blood pressure, and weight,” Assistant Vice Chancellor for Community Engagement Cade Smith said. “Without that foundational data, they don’t know how you are at any given time. This campus climate survey is really like blood pressure, weight, and temperature.”
Ole Miss hired Rankin & Associates Consulting to conduct the survey. They held focus groups among different communities on campus. …
